WeightWatchers Med+ combines access to a prescribing team with WeightWatchers’ food, activity and support program. Its current $25 first-month promotion is a membership offer. GLP-1 medication costs sit outside that price, and some medication discounts require a separate upfront commitment.
This review checks the public plans, expanded FAQ and Clinic agreement on October 15, 2026. We have not enrolled, tested insurance authorization or evaluated clinical outcomes. The update removes our earlier numerical rating; it is an editorial review of published information and has not received clinician review.
The $25 introduction leads into a six- or twelve-month term
The current Med+ offer charges $25 for the first month, then $74 per month for the rest of a twelve-month plan or $84 per month for the rest of a six-month plan. GLP-1 drugs are excluded. Our arithmetic gives $839 for the first twelve-month membership term ($25 + 11 × $74), or $445 for the first six-month term ($25 + 5 × $84), before medication and any other applicable charges.
The offer says the plan renews for another twelve- or six-month term at the same monthly rate unless cancelled. If unchanged, those renewal membership totals are $888 and $504 respectively. Monthly collection therefore does not mean a month-to-month commitment. These are calculations from the published offer, not an individualized checkout quote.
The less expensive behavioral memberships advertised elsewhere on the site are different products. The GLP-1 Success Program provides nutrition and activity support; access to that program alone should not be confused with the Med+ prescribing membership.
Medication can add an upfront commitment of its own
The Wegovy pill page lists a starting self-pay offer of $149 for a 30-day supply, with higher prescribed doses up to $299. It names CenterWell Pharmacy and an offer end date of December 31, 2026. This review does not recommend a dose; the clinician determines the prescription and the applicable product price must be confirmed.
The same page advertises a separate twelve-month prepayment of $2,988, expressed as $249 per fill, for eligible Wegovy pill prescriptions at the specified higher strengths or for Wegovy pens. A separate Med+ membership is required. The pill offer defines a fill as 30 days; the pen offer uses 28 days. Twelve fills do not automatically cover the same number of calendar days.
The medication terms permit cancellation only for medication that has not shipped. Eligible refunds are calculated using the standard price—$299 per pill fill or $349 per pen fill—rather than the discounted $249 figure. That means the unused portion should not be valued simply by multiplying remaining fills by the discount. Ask for the actual refund calculation and dispensing schedule before prepaying.
Clinical care and insurance assistance have distinct roles
WeightWatchers says medical services are delivered through its affiliated WeightWatchers Clinic. After assessment, a medical professional determines eligibility and an appropriate treatment plan. The care team can help navigate insurance, but that assistance does not guarantee a covered drug, an approved prior authorization or a particular copay. The membership agreement describes the governing service and payment conditions.
The public FAQ says some non-GLP-1 medicines may be included through its designated pharmacy arrangement; that does not make GLP-1 prescriptions free or included. Ask separately about the proposed drug, pharmacy, insurance or self-pay route, and any testing or initial consultation charge that applies.
App tools, coaching and workshops are part of the support offer. They do not establish a measured clinician response time. We did not verify patient-by-patient outcomes, prescription availability or how quickly an individual insurance request would be decided.
Cancelling renewal may leave the current commitment payable
The Clinic agreement, updated February 9, 2026, distinguishes standard monthly plans from longer commitments. It provides cancellation through the account or app, the care or customer-service team, or the support email listed in that agreement. For a longer plan, cancellation generally takes effect at the end of the applicable commitment; the remaining scheduled monthly fees can still be owed.
The agreement says the company attempts to process cancellation requests within 72 hours. That is a processing estimate, not a universal rule that every cancellation must be submitted exactly 72 hours before renewal. If a near-boundary request results in a subsequent charge, the agreement describes contacting customer service for a reversal when the next period has not been used. Save the request and confirmation.
The selected offer’s renewal term matters: the current promotion renews into another long term. Check the actual processing date and commitment-end date rather than assuming the next monthly payment is the only amount at stake. Cancelling membership and cancelling an unshipped medication commitment are separate requests under separate terms.
Refund exceptions are narrower than a general guarantee
The Clinic agreement generally treats a started commitment as nonrefundable and noncancelable before its end. It describes a medical-reason exception for an unused portion, with exclusions for applicable upfront or consultation fees and potentially used services or administrative charges. An initial consultation fee, where applicable, is described as nonrefundable once signup occurs; the amount was not established for every current offer.
The agreement also says a medication shortage does not by itself entitle a member to a fee refund, apart from stated exceptions. A delayed prescription, a membership cancellation and an eligible medication refund should therefore not be treated as the same event. We did not test a cancellation or refund request.
The useful comparison is the total commitment, not the headline
Med+ publishes meaningful detail about the service fee and its term. The budget becomes harder when that membership is combined with insurance-dependent pricing or a medication prepayment. Write down both contracts, both renewal or refill dates, and both cancellation rules. Do not add an introductory medication rate to an unrelated membership promotion unless the provider confirms that combination applies.
The FuturHealth review covers another introduction whose complete renewal total remains unresolved. Our cost worksheet now includes examples of separating membership, medication, upfront payment and supply periods. Clinical suitability remains a decision for the treating professional.
